"The reason I chose this program even though it's an online program is they had a couple residencies and it got a chance to really get the class together and know one another very well... It was just a great experience and brought all the pieces together into a cohesive story, and a better understanding of the program and what I was learning. Actually when I was searching online and going through the programs, the one reason I went to Creighton was the faculty members. The experience they had wasn't just academic; it was real world experience they were able to bring into the classroom environment. That's what really sold me on the program and it did come out again and again in each class."

"The impact that this degree, the Masters in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution, had on my professional life has been incredible. What it has done is basically broadened my view; it has allowed me to see our clients in a completely different light, and even see our internal staff differently It has given me the ability to reach out and touch people I could not have touched before from that perspective, and that is a huge value in the professional business world.

Being in an online environment is very interesting for this type of program. What I really loved about this environment was the ability to reach across the entire United States and even outside the United States into the hearts and minds of other individuals who share the desire to achieve this degree. What a great broadening effect that had on us! We learned to share things from the heart not just from the head. We became great friends. We also found the ability to become better friends with our instructors because of it being online... I think that is without a doubt one of the greatest, priceless gifts that we get from this type of a program.

I researched Creighton and I found that besides just having the correct environment for me while working, they also had great credibility, which was another reason why I wanted to go to Creighton. They offered a degree from an accredited university, great reputation, instructors are wonderful, and I found it to be a very interdisciplinary degree that reached across many, many people and vocations. That all came from that little investigation into Creighton. And that is why I chose this university."

"The MSHCE program’s greatest strengths include the commitment to the learning process through excellent professors and mentors and course material that is current, multi-dimensional, and requires graduate students to step out of their comfort zone in order to develop professional and academic skills to facilitate interaction with peers and mentors in the discipline of health care ethics."

"I will be working in my small hospital to develop an ethics committee that works, a committee that cares about the quality of its work and has mechanisms to ensure the quality of its work in the future. In addition, I have volunteered for the board of the Bioethics Network of Ohio and have offered to do some writing for its newsletter. I am planning to put my Creighton education to work."

Kenelm F. McCormick
Master's in Health Care Ethics

"After completing the program, I realize how broad the field of bioethics is. I hope to make a career change from RN to something more focused on ethics within the field of healthcare, though I am not sure which direction that will be. My first step is to become more involved with a hospital ethics committee to gain some practical experience. Otherwise, I plan to keep my eyes open for new opportunities in health care ethics."

“ My experience with the Creighton Online MSAPM program has exceeded all of my expectations and has helped my current job as an educational administrator. I understand how important it is for school districts and universities to have administrators that are knowledgeable in finance. Because of this program, I now have a deeper understanding of financial markets, financial planning, investments, budgets, and spreadsheets.

The in-depth knowledge from field practitioners is one of the program’s greatest strengths. I can’t explain how helpful the faculties were in responding to questions or explaining complex concepts.”

"This program has made a very positive impact on both my personal and professional life. Through the program I was given the opportunity to work with the United States Institute of Peace where I met individuals with expert knowledge in both Internal Affairs and my chosen concentration.

I have learned skills that will help me resolve job conflict and provide me with additional qualification to prospective employers. This program is very challenging, yet rewarding and the best decision you will ever make."

"I have taught ethics and professionalism in dental schools, dental residencies, and at national dental meetings for the last eight years. Finishing this program will allow me to provide bioethical articles in my professional literature (something I have never done), expand my horizons of participation in the lecture programs I am involved with, and allow me credibility with the audience in front of me due to my expanded knowledge base."

“If you are serious about learning the CFA® Body of Knowledge, then Creighton’s MSAPM program is for you. However, to complete this program takes a special commitment and drive.

The professors, who are all CFA Charterholders, are very encouraging and available anytime you need them, even at 7:00am on a Saturday!

I believe the curriculum has given me the tools to successfully pass the remaining two levels of the CFA program. My overall experience was more than I expected.”
