"The Creighton University Master of Public Health has been a phenomenal program. Our reading material was captivating, and in many ways soul searching. The material extended my personal philosophy of ensuring compassionate care for all, through utilizing what Powers and Faden (2006) described as the “six core dimensions [of well-being]: health, personal security, reasoning, respect, attachment, and self-determination (p. 16)."
I can truly appreciate how power, well-being and self-respect can impact someone’s health. Access to provocative readings and documentaries throughout our course increased my level of compassion for those less fortunate, and my ability to recognize how policies can positively or negatively affect people’s lives."
